Manvi is also an important place for Madhwa Brahmins.This is the hometown of Jagannatha Dasaru who wrote the famous Harikathamruthasara. They have a very small temple for Jagannatha Dasaru where we can see his padukas and an idol.I remember my grand ma saying that on his birthday or some auspicious day they will do Bhajans here in his remembrance.
