Cabbage Palya is easy to prepare and doesn’t take much time also.
Ingredients :
Cabbage – 2 cups (chopped finely or cut in to small slices)
Oil for tempering
Turmeric powder – A pinch
Green chillies – 5-6
Urad dal – 1/2 spoon
Mustard – 1/2 spoon
Curry leaves – 10
Corriander leaves – 1/2 cup ( finely chopped)
Grated coconut – 1/2 cup ( for taste)
Salt
1.Heat oil in pan. Temper with mustard seeds, curry leaves,turmeric and green chillies.
2.Add chopped cabbage to it and mix well.Cook till the cabbage is boiled well.Do not add too much water while boiling as cabbage itself will give water.
3. Add salt and mix well.Remove from stove.
4. Add chopped corriander and grated coconut,mix well and serve hot.It goes well with Chapati and Rice also.
